Hey i put in crystal chip 1.1 and laser fix in my slim v12 ps2, then the final part was burning the iso firmware with alcohol 120 to get the chip started but when i put it in it says please insert a playstation or playstation 2 format disc that only happens when i put in the backup game, but when i put in the original it works fine anyone know what do i have to do to get it working. thank you

Sounds like your chip isn't installed properly, check all the wires again and make sure they are connected to the right places, the wires are firmly attached

i agree, but without the firmware it would also no play back up games i think.
How did you burn the firmware? what program.
Did you burn the cue file as am image?
Did you burn it to a CD? which you should.

For the crystal chip, you will have to use the hacked firmware in order to boot backup. The official firmware will not boot backup game.
