Connect PSP to internet via modem?

Hi, I have a question thats probably been asked a million times, however I've sifted through many posts and I can't find an answer, not one that I understand anyway.
Basically my situation is, I'm running on Windows Xp Home edition sp2, I have 3mb download speed connection via a modem and I have my psp. Can I connect up any way?
The Broadband I have is wireless, it's run from a rod on my rooftop, down the side of my house through my modem into my pc. Only prob is I didn't purchase a router{yet}.
Can I get hooked up with the modem or do I have to purchase a router?
Also, if I do have to get a router, do I need any other accessories to use in conjunction with it to get connected?

I think you need to buy a router. Scan for wireless networks on your PSP and see if any come up. If nothing shows up, I'm pretty sure you have to buy a router then. Don't quote me on it though.

get a WiFiMaX, it makes wireless internet using you PC and one usb port. Google It, it is cool

wifi max!! be awear of this product its a long tug of war to set it up!! but you might be lucky and it might work 4 u 1st time. i thourt the wifi max lookd great just my luck because i just bourt socom and i wantd to play online but i got it 5 days ago and every day iv been trying to set it up but its been a no go 4 me but any way try it out it is a good product if you get it working....
