Can't do a system restore?

Hi all, I'm having a bit of trouble doing a system restore. Problem is, I downloaded a trial version of Power Iso to extract a .daa file but with that trial download I got bombarded with adware and spyware but not only that, as I was running through the installation of power iso my dos command window flashed up, leading me to think about spyware.
I ran spy doctor and I think it found about 150 different infections. I deleted them.
Then I thought I'd do a system restore just to make sure I was clear and then run more anti virus. So I tried a system restore about 5 times over different days and I also tried a restore in safe mode, but it keeps saying " your system cannot be restored to this check point, do you wish to try another".
Any suggestions on this ? Here's a log of hijack this if anyone can help.

No need to reply. whatever it was was affecting some of my files.
It busted my adobe reader. I made a backup and wiped my hd.
Case closed.
