Hi, I'm new here and am having a problem with DVD Decrypter.

I recently, after much fiddling with Nero and finally giving up on it downloaded DVD Decrypter to work with DVD Shrink. I managed to copy two DVDs before my computer died from a probably unrelated operating system problem.

After rebooting and re-downloading DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter I tried to copy two discs and both of them gave me the same error message on DVD Decrypter during the burning process.

Failed to read from file <title>.ISO
Reason: Data Error (Cyclic Redundancy Check)

It usually stops about 50-70% into the burning process. I've wasted about 5 discs that way.

I tried ripping with Decrypter, running the file through DVD Shrink, and burning with Decrypter; and also just ripping with DVD Shrink and burning with Decrypter.

Any advice?

Thanks

Oh, and btw, it's DVD Shrink 3.2 and Decrypter 3.5.4.0

A CRC error is usually the result of having a dirty/smudged disk, a scratched disk, a possible bad press, or due to copy protection.

Try to clean the disk if it appears dirty/smudged and try again.

If the disk appears badly scratched or if you've got a possible bad press, return and exchange it for another.

If it's the result of copy protection that shrink or DVD Decrypter can't decrypt, then download and install a free ripper/decrypter called DVDFab decrypter.

Get it here;
http://209.172.35.173/download/DVDFabDecrypter29.exe

Use it to rip the DVD files to your hard drive, open those files using DVD Shrink and process them using shrink as you normally would.

Here's a guide to using DVDFab if needed;
