Hi there, quite new to converting formats so here goes if anyone can help.

Running celeron 766mhz with 384meg memory, nvidia 64meg card, 60gig HD, OS windows 2000 prof.

My major probelem is trying to convert divx avi to mpg 2 or dvd. Ive used a few different software titles and each one freezes at different stages through the conversion. Ive tried winmpg, ulead dvd movie factory, nero, avi2mpg,easyx video and a couple of others which all freeze and the system wont respond to anything. Ive tried dvmpeg which will convert but always says the audio part of the file is unsupported if thats anything to do with it and tMPGenc which will begin to convert for about 2 seconds and says theres is an error writing. The only one that might work is cucusoft avi top vcd/dvd but as ive only got the demo version it only coverts 5 minutes so maybe it will crash later. I have no problem converting mpg 1 or to to vcd or dvd just avi/divx, any help??PLease!!??
