yea i heard this it wants to make a seamless xperience. and ff games are always long so i'm not surprised, but this game has gotta be like 150 hours of game play. cause ff10 was about 60 hours of real gameplay (not powerleveling)

well oblivion is huge and fits on a dvd 9. ive yet to touch the main quest, and havent even attempted to explore the caves and ruins ion the game. if youve played it youl know there are literally hundreds of them. adn ive run up 65 hours on it already. still got soooo sooo much to do. but knowing square enix, the final fantasy is going to have hours upon hours of cg which is what eats up the disc space

final fantasy has been known to make HUGE maps i mean oblivion is GIANT and it fits on 1 dvd, but what i honestly think is that ffXIII is really a game to show off the power of ps3 and the bluray disk size this will will be the oblivion for the ps3 but better (in my opinion but i like oblivion)

blu dragon looks too cartoonish, and yet again it will not beat ff13 ff is the master of turnbased rpgs.

well, i heard oblivion had something like 200 hrs if you went through everything.
but some guys i spoke to said they had played up to 700 hrs and just finished, so...

also mass effect is going to be an rpg, sop that could be interesting, sonsidering it did well at e3.

if he play up to 700 hr that dont mean that the gameplay is that long it just took him that long to beat the game.

^^^ that is very true. correct me if im wrong but wern't the voices and faces in oblivion very very redundant. i mean the guy jafar had the same voice as several other toons. its a good game, but how many murder missions can you do till they get old??? it was fun at the beginning and i guess offers what you say some 200hrs of gameplay, but its not the mainquest that is 200hrs of gameplay. there are several minigames you have the option to take part in

oblivion fits well on a dvd because its done with algoryms and pre-programed reused wireframing and models. if it were mostly unique like alot of ff games and other games, then i doubt it would be close to fitting on 1 dvd.

But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

saying that the game will fit on dvd based on hours is not right, someone probably played oblivion for 700 hours but do you know if they sucked or not, NO

you also need to remember that if you play final fantasy 10 or x2 doing the main quests, it won't take very long if your trying to play it straight, about 36 hours maybe. after doing the side quests x was at 146 hours and x2 was near 200(must be done twice if you fuck up)

so if the new ff is at least 150 hours estimated, it can't be locked because the GAME IS NOT DONE, it will more than likely be longer

just like
Star Ocean: The Second Story(me 267 hours)
fable(me not done yet:using mods)

you can't even include the online version because its online(never ending)

currently have these consoles

Gamecube
Xbox
Ps2
Dreamcast
Phantom
Gba
