I explored DVDDecrypter, Nero7, Shrink, but I can't find the right way to do this...
I have one DVD (amateur copy) with 3 chapters (let's say chapter A,B,C) but the C is now faulty. Someone gave me another DVD with only chapter C. SOOOOOOOOOOO, I'd like to make one new dvd with Chap A and B from the first dvd, and Chap C from the second one. How can I do this? I'd be grateful if someone helped...

You can do it with Shrink. Rip both discs to your HDD, I would use seperate folders for simplicity. Open shirnk, open files with the faulty chapter. Click Reauthor, if you can move just the good chapters over, good. If not, click on the scissors (bottom left, by the preview screen) and get the movie to the end of the good chapters. Then, open the files with the good chapters. Do the same thing but cut out the begining. Use the play-time numbers to get it to same spot. Hit backup and you should be on your way. BTW I don't have my computer in front of me, so I apologize if I missed a step or anything. Good luck.

Well, I ripped them with DVDDecrypter (cuz Shrink wouldn't rip the faulty one) I chose IFO mode, was I right? But then when I try to "open files" with Shrink, it says it can't open Video_TS.IFO and it opens nothing. It says that for the faulty disk and for the good one. So I guess I'm doing something wrong...

Try using DVDFab Decrypter (it's free), here's the link DVDIdle.com/free.htm" class="korostus" target="_blank">http://www.DVDIdle.com/free.htm It's easy to use, just pick your destination and click start. Here's the link for vobBlanker http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm Once you open vobBlanker, set your "input" to the files you just ripped with DVDFab. Set your "output" to whatever destination you want. Click "proc all" and let it work. Then open Shrink and follow as said above. It sounds more difficult than it is, it's rather easy. Let us know how you get along.

No problem. I just noticed that the link for DVDFab came out kind of funky. Here is what it should be. www.dvdidle.com/free.htm I hope you understand everything I was trying to say. Let us know if you have any other questions or need clarification. Good luck.

WORKING!!! (big smile here) I did as prescribed: DVDFab (which I had in fact but had never used), then vobBlanker, then Shrink. The thing is that it seemed to go all very well with the first DVD (the one with the faulty file), so I copied that full one to see what would happene... and the new copy is perfect! no faulty file apparently (is that plausible? well it must be since it's working...)
THANK YOU SO MUCH vwsport80!!! I really appreciate!

... and I'll keep your instructions preciously, in case I need to gather files from different DVD's onto one, I'm sure it'll happen.
But I'm curious... What do you think made it work (i mean copy nicely the faulty files), is it DVDFab or rather vobBlanker?

I'm glad to hear that it worked! It could have been either program. DVDFab may have ripped it better, or vobBlanker could have removed a bad VOB. Either way, this usually works for EVERY DVD, new releases and all.
