is there any way that i can rip my field commander UMD and play it with Dax. If so please could you tell me how

Nope, u gotta use devhook. 40 or .41 to play field commander. devhook also has a compression tool, works just as well as dax

You can run it dax'ed with daxpak runumd, but wifi don't work.
So yea, use devhook 0.41 with ciso compression and wifi works. Goto maxconsole forums to learn how. Get the full version of devhook from ps2nfo.
You need to patch the game with meetjoeblack's game fix.

Wumpa, been reading a couple of ur posts, u really know ur stuff. Can u answer this, does any 1 have Outrun running? Lots of ppl been asking bout that 1. thx:)

No go on Outrun yet. No PPF patch, no prx swap. No firmware 2.6 decrypter yet is the reason for some games being unplayable yet.
And ya, I read everything I can about modding PSP's, Xbox1's and Xbox 360's. I read afterdawn because of the juicy nuggets once in a while.
I could spend all day answering questions, but I got games to play.

Thats where i get confused. I have Capcom Classics and fight night running, they are both 2.6s. just used the battlefront prx's for Classics, and took out the update folder from Fight Night. What makes Outrun any different the games I just named? Thx:)

outrun has one of those ALL.PSP files. Hasn't been decrypted yet.

After you patch field commander,
what settings do you use in devHook?
And what version do you use? .40 or .41?

Get the latest version 0.41, use these settings: UMD Select: Select Your iSO File, UMD Mount: ISO ANYUMD (set it), Firmware: 2.50+2.00 (set it), Boot Select: Reboot XMB (set it), UMD Version: 2.XX -> 2.00 (set it, or you will get a 2.6 error), and CPU Clock: 333 MHz / 166 MHz.

I am using devhook to try to play field commander UMD as I have a 1.5 firmware PS - firmware boots into 2.5 no problem with devhook but access to UMD is still denied unless I upgrade to 2.6. Is it possible to get around this?

is it guaranteed that if i buy the UK version of the game i will be able to play a backup version of the game off my memory stick. This is because there is at least a 2 month wait in-between the game releases and i was wondering if UK versions of the games require a different firmware version to the US versions.

yes most u can. i beleve this u can. i think i read it in another thread. u can just download a usa backup or sumthin neway iv uv bought the uk original. i think thats allowed cos unless they change the name or platform its the same license i think

I have original region 1 field commander umd and a US 1.5 firmware PSP. Devhook will load other Iso's but the 2.5 emulation is not fooling the original field commander UMD, nor are any iso's I download, nor is my iso dump working. Any advice from those that have got Field commander working using devhook would be appreciated.

Switching the prx's in field commander with the ones from street riders or get the fix from ps2nfo to get it running with dev.
