i have no idea about any of this,but I donwloaded requiem for a dream last night (it says divx, dvd, avi) off of kazaa. I burned it onto a cdr today and when i put it into the stand alone dvd player, it says "This disc may not have playback ...
What do I need to do? And I didnt search because I have no idea where to start.

Don't believe the descriptions always with Kazaa as these are mostly not checked. What format is the file identified as on your PC? Did you burn with Nero? If it burned to a CD as a VCD(MPEG 1)- I am assuming it is a movie - then it should play. Try burning again at a lower speed. Also does your DVD stand alone play VCD?
