Does anyone know of a programme that will permit you to record what is being shown on VLC player?

It was a download from shareaza but it did not complete but as i said i could view it with VLC and i thought there might be a programme that could record this off screen. I have had a good look and cannot find anything to do this.I have tried a couple of programmes, camstudio and capture pad but no luck.

Even if you did find a program to record what was on screen it would be bad quality. What is the file type? if its an AVI then you could open it up in VirtualDub and it reconstructs the file and you could re-encode.

What is the extension? (for example .AVI .ISO .mp3)
If you cant see a extension go to My computer > tools > foler options and under the view tab unckeck "Hide extensions of know file types"
Then come back to and post the extension.

It is not an AVI otherwise my normal programmes could handle it.
I will have to wait until i get a new download of the same type as i have deleted this file now as i got fed up trying various things. Will repost when it happens again, thanks.
