Can I connect one xbox to another using just a crossover cable (no router/hub)? Is it possible for Avalaunch to connect the two without using the 'middleman'. Yes, a noob question. Sorry!

Yes you can. I'm not familliar with Avalaunch so I cant say how. Plug them in and Im sure some sort of notice will pop up. I know thith XBMC they will automatically connect to each other.
