Up to now, I've had no success booting up any game through USBAdvance. I am currently using a V9 FAT PS2, I formatted the drive using the USBXtreme format tool, I've tried using the installer tool and also USBInsane, but for some reason none of the games boot! I've tried over 10 games, and none want to boot up. USBAdvance recognizes the drive, it sees the games, but when I press start, it doesn't do anything. It just gives me a black screen! Is this an issue with V9 PS2's or am I doing something wrong somewhere?

I'm using a USB enclosure with an EIDE drive because for some weird reason my PS2 doesn.t want to spin up my HD anymore. I use to run HDLoader, but from one day to the next, the drive is spinning up AFTER the exploit and not before, so no elf can see the drive. It's not the NA since I've tried about 5 others and they still behave the same way! So, it has to be something wigth the PS2 or something. After the exploit boots, though, the HDD spins up. Which is rather weird. But the HD is fine. I've tested 2 more HD's and they behave the same way too. Any idea as to what that could be?

Sorry for adding another question within this one lol

PS2 V9 with Custom Flip Top
MC Exploit
ULaunchELF 3.78
HDLoader 0.8a with 160Gb Maxtor HDD

Nintendo GameCube DOL-001
XenoGC 2.0
POTS adjusted to 400Ohms from 496Ohms and runs everything thrown at it

If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.

USBeXtreme/USBAdvance are known to have a very low compatibility, I'm not surprised you have that problem.

When you say you used to use HDLoader, I'm assuming you had a network adaptor to use with your HDD?

Yes. Everything was setup fine and then stopped working for no reason. I tried just about everything but I kinda gave up. I'm just giving USBAvance a try but apprently, the compatibility stuff is gonna keep me away from it. So I'll just concentrate on finding out what's wrong with my PS2 not spinning the drives up at start up!
