BURNING VIDEO_TS PROBLEM

OK, I'm driving myself mad, so I'm posting. SOMEONE PLEASE HAVE THE ANSWER

I've been burining dvd's with: 1) dvdbackup 2) dvd2one 3) roxio toast titanium 5.2 I successfully burned about 30 dvd's. All of the sudden, it stopped working for me. I haven't changed a single thing. I get through the process of extracting and compressing. My dvd player will open the VIDEO_TS folder and play just fine.

I drag the VIDEO_TS folder into roxio. The files look OK. I press record. Right when dialog box pops up, two additional files pop up in the background (the window with my vob and bup files). The files are: Desktop DB and Desktop DF. The files are used usually used to tell macs which program to open a file in, I think. I DO NOT have the option of removing these files. The second the dvd is finished burning, the files disapear. Roxio says the dvd is burned succesfully, but neither my imac or dvd player can read the disk.

These two files have to be the cause of my problems. They just showed up one day. I've done everything I can think of to fix this. (trashed all programs and started from scratch 3 times, and much more)
