Hi,

Should I adjust my POT to a value between the optimum range of 210-170? I checked it while installing a xenogc & the factory default is currently set at 228.

Cube I have is a PAL platinum DOL101 with drive revision 8.

It plays fullsize 'Teac' dvds (has pinkish/purple dye, maybe G04?) fine with the case top off, but there are some occasional DRE's every 4 or so hrs. Have ordered so Ritek minis so I will use those when they arrive. Whats the highest POT setting over 210 anyone has used & got Ritek mini G04s to work? I don't want to wear out the laser to extend the life.

I also have some 'Laser' fullsize dvds that use AZO dye. Anyone have any success with getting disc with AZO dye to run in the cube or know if they are even compatible?

After a system reboot to free up the RAM the games were burnt at 4x in Nero 7.0.1 with a Sony DW-D22A with BYS3 firmware & they work fine, but I will try using imgburn to see if it improves burn qualities....anyone know?

Thanks for any help in advance.

'update'

I just burned soul calibur 2 onto one of the fullsize laser brand dvds that use AZO dye at 4x & it works perfectly! I was expecting it not to work, but I was really surprised it did cuz I heard in another forum that AZO discs dont work, but the person who tried it might have had a different POT setting, drive rev, burner & burn speed used, dvd type etc.

Maybe I just got lucky........or maybe because I always double check all the variables before proceding. So far all 7 games I have burned have been checked with 'Wiped GC Fixer GUI/ FSTFIX' & work flawlessly apart from the occasional minor DRE.

Games burned:
- Mario Power Tennis (PAL)
- Mario Kart Double Dash (PAL) [more DREs than others]
- Mario Superstar Baseball (PAL)
- Zelda Four Swords Adventures (PAL)
- Megaman X Collection (NTSC)
- Sonic Mega Collection (NTSC)
- Soul Calibur 2 (PAL)

The things we do for free games! LOL!

If anyone can still answer my questions from my previous post about IMGburn, Ritek & POT I would appreciate it.

Cheers!
