The Dms4 Ezi soldered in was a temporary fix until i gathered up the money to do things properly. Following Toji's guide i'm buying inside 'The Big 3' From xmodds as a premod v13. But i noticed somewhere that toji mentioned the dms4 and slim combo won't read psx backups/imports due to a wire issue?.

A large number of my backups are PSX or Psx import, i'd like to retain the ability to play those so i need some help from everybody else. I eventually plan on hooking up a USB hard drive too, But i want to know which would be better the Matrix Infinity or the DMS4 Pro SE?

The system will be used for Ps2 originals, imports and backups, psx originals, imports and backups. Maybe even some homebrew discs with emulators, and maybe sometime in the future a usb hard drive kit. Which chip from the Big 3 would give me this with the least problems?

I have a matrix infinity and never have problem with PS1 games.

Just a note, if you are planning on using a USB HDD to play PS1 games, forget the idea, you can't do it, only PS2 games work on HDD

They say it auto detects PSX games. If i had my system i could burn one and test it for you but it is in CA being further modded with a 250GB internal hard drive and HD Combo case.

I bought mine from Xmodd.com, but i had no idea they were still in business because for about the last month every time i tried my link to their homepage it said "page not found"
But i have not had a problem with the system.
Teammodders also sells premodded systems and i know the guys there and they do a great job.
If you decide to go with a hard drive then save about $100 and do what i did. Get it put in an HD Combo case so you can have the hard drive internal. USB is just not doing anything but saving laser life. The load times will be about the same as from a discs where as an internal HDD would be much faster.
Or just get them to sell the premodded system in that case already and spend the extra up front. I know Teammodders can do that once he gets more in stock. I know they are out because my system is there now.

hey guys any1 know sum decent uk sites to get a premodded ps2 from, i know aba ghost2fitters but was wanderin if there is anymore as all i get in google is american sites, im finally goin with a modchip yey
