Hasn't this been out for a day or 2 now or is that .41c that I'm thinking of?

probably. Does 0.41d actually emulate 2.60 or is it just like 0.40, 0.41a,b and c? Chossy's got some skills, so I wouldn't be surprised if he actually found a way to emulate 2.60 FW. As soon as he or someone does, no more screwing w/ PRX files for a while. But this version does allocate more memory. I noticed while playing Splinter Cell, after about 3-4 hours of play, I would go to save the game and the save would fail. Then the PSP would crash. I think this will fix that and that's good. :D sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

That's what I was wondering. If he got actual 2.6 emulation, that would be fricken insane.

K, .41d is brand new.
Here's the major changes in this version.
* Fixed abnormal memory access when performing loadModule for 2.00/2.50
* Some freezing situation may have also been improved.
* "UMD Version" switch is available even when using the UMD.

Yea, I'm gonna go ahead and download it when I get home. Sounds better. Did you play Splinter Cell? If so, you must've experienced when the PSP crashes and corrupts your save data in the same blow. I lost four hours of progress b/c of this.
btw, has anyone seen DAXZISO 0.62? I have had it, but I've only been using the compression tool. I didn't actually install the DAXZISO and DAXZISO% folders until last night and I noticed the b/g pic is a lot better now than it was. I hated that robot chick w/ the rubber boobs. She had a major pot belly problem.

My splinter cell never froze a lot, tho. I mean, I kept the original ISO. I didn't use the rip kit b/c I wanted to see the Cutscenes and all that. I don't wanna ever use a rip kit on a game I've never played. Sure it cuts down on the total weight of the file, but it ruins the game. I wanna see ALL the movies, hear ALL the music and everything else that comes along w/ the game. I even want the update so after I'm done playing the game, I can update my system software to 2.71 and then choke myself to death w/ a USB cable.

What does the Splinter Cell ripkit rip out of the ISO?

it doesnt rip anything like cutscenes or videos... you arent missing anything except space on your memory stick as far as i noticed.
edit: still freezes going up the stairs on the oil rig level after climbing through the top window via the pipe.

yea, but everyone that has used the rip kit says the cutscenes go too fast to even see what is going on. It was that alone that made me decide to NOT rip it. Plus, the cutscenes are really well done. Awesome cinematics!
I don't know what files are ripped either, but I am not going to do this until I beat the game. But then again, I have a 4GB MS on the way from Hong Kong. So it's not like I need a ton or room b/c I already have to other 2GB Memory sticks. I can prove it - just look at my signature! lol

K, as long as it has the videos and sounds, I don't care.
Edit: Yea, I want a 4 Gig stick because I'm a musik and ISO whore. How much did you pay for it, if you don't mind me asking.
