hey guys i am a newbie to Ps2 modchip.
lately i am planning to get a modchip for my ps2.
i have a V9 PS2, and i do not play online game, and
i dont have HD. so i am considering getting
DMS4 PRO SE, or Matrix Infinity GD.
which of these chips are best for V9 PS2?
tell me why choose this chip? (thank you)

IMO matrix infinity would be better because it doesnt get random overheat issues like the DMS4 Pro.

either would be a great choice, and i have had no overheat issues with my DMS4 Pro yet.
DMS4 Pro SE is better if you plan on getting a hard drive in the future. It has a built in cheat device as well so you would not need cheat discs anymore. Other than that they are two of the best chips out there.

Agree with stemiy on that (even though I got a matrix infinity) - although MI does everything else that I need to do, and it's good not being able to cheat on HDD games, means I'll actually have to play the games properly :)

Well, since I'm a matrix infinity user, I'm going to recommend that, I've had it for half a year and never had a problem with it, and sometimes I use my PS2 for a long period of time.

I've heard teammodders do an excellent job, I have mine modded in New Zealand so can't give any suggestions, but people like steimy will tell you they are the best people to go to

yes, of course i would ;)
I have know the guys at Teammodders for a while now. The installer does a great job and stands behind his work.
Just take note that their modding service is done to help the community. This is not their main job. So it may take a day or two to get a response. Go there and look up the member called Davbere
then PM him and explain what you want and ask for a quote.
You can also visit the forums there, go to the PS2 section and they post up install pictures for about every PS2 they have done. You can see the quality of work for yourself. But trust me when i say this guy is top notch. He did installs for people on the DMS Forums as well before he started working with Teammodders.
I had my V5 modded by them to donate to a friend. Davbere put in a new laser and DMS4 Pro chip and my friend has not had a problem at all.
I bought my premodded used Xbox from them and also have had no problems. Right now Davbere has my V12 Slimline that already has a DMS4 Pro chip. He is installing it into an HD Combo case and putting in a 250GB hard drive for me. So you can see i trust them and get all my work done there.
