VHS to PC problem

I have a sony vcr and ati 8500dv card. My vcr is connected to my puter through compsite (rca).

When i capture on to my hdd, the sound comes out fine, but the picture records like 2 seconds and plays over and over, like its skipping in that frame.

I am using the digital vcr to capture (ati mmc 7.7).

No matter what i do, i cant get it to work. If i capture live tv or dvd, it works fine. Sound and picture are perfect.

Plz help, i am out of ideas...

macrovison as in your sorce material must have it i use a sima modle SED-CM video copymaster to solve this problem they sell it at best buy or on line from sima
for whatever it is legal in the usa at this time
it makes my 8500 into a copy master
