i have recently chipped my xbox and want to get more space on hard drive, but i cant afford a new big hard drive. so i want to keep the retail 1 but add a second 14GB 1 that i have spair. How can i connect 2 hard drives. i cant find a 4 way signal cable or a or a male to 2 female jack to exstend it. can anyone help, is there another way to do it or does any 1 know a uk web site where i can by a cable?

i all ready have a power cable and i cant afford to order a cable at that price from american. so to day i went to a computer shop brough a cable ribon and 4 sockets and made my own cable. the sockets are all on correctly and connect but when i plug it in my xbox wont boot up. even with 1 end in the mother board and any socket in the original hard drive. PPPPPPPPPEEEEAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSS HELP!!!!

also i it true i can only use 1 HD at a time?

you either have to alternate the cable from HD to HD evry time you want to change or buy a mulit tap, and plug it into the master, then make the secong one a slave...i think :/

You can only use one hard drive at a time, that means only one can be powered on at a time. You need to have some sort of on/off switch between the drives. The reason you're getting an error is because both drives are fighting to boot up because they're both being powered on. So either make a switch or just move the power plug each time you want to change drives. And be sure to turn off your Xbox before switching drives; you can't just switch between the two while it's on.
