Hmm couldn't find any info on this, but in general there's no harm in using a smaller gauge wire (thicker). Are you having this problem because you have to choose between two wires, or is it just a general question?

Get a multimeter and check the connections, also check for any shorts between the points you've soldered and their adjacent points, that's the most important thing you want to watch out for. If there's a short it could kill your board.

i used to use AWG #30 for all connections except power and ground.

now, i use AWG #30 for all points since i saw a sample diagram which showed that.

i soldered a duo 3 too.

im still afraid of instability, so i soldered an extra gnd wire.

works fine.

I have a question for the DMS4 SE PRO u are suppose to have a the bigger (thicker wire) for the Power & Ground. However I have seen install pictures with the small Power & Ground should it be stable?

vcbc yes it should be stable. however the dms chip needs extra care and all wires should be laid flat against the motherboard. i am not professional enough and i cannot get a dms4 pro chip to work perfect.
i get the "random overheat" issues.
