Hey,
I have Nero Express 6 OEM that I got with my DVD Burner, I have a few questions about it.

My DVD burner goes to 16 speed, however Nero only displays it as an 8x. For a fact I know it is a 16 speed because it says it is in it's hardware profile. How do I make it so it'll burn at 16x? I am having the same problem with CDs as well, it'll only burn at 48x when it can go to 52x. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

EDIT: I have this drive:

I'm sure if you use 16x DVD+or-R, Nero will allow you to burn at 16x, if you put in a 8x it will show only at 8x.

Use Nero InfoTools it will give you some info for your drive.

Again, I don't believe it's Nero it will be the Disc you are using.

I'm going with Molder. Make sure your media is rated to burn at the speed you desire. You'll be making a mistake burning DVDs at 16X. Fastest I go 8X and that's on the best media(TYs and Verbs). Cds are not so intensive 24X should be fast enough. Your firmware also has to be updated so your burner can properly recognize the media.

garmoon,
Thanks for expanding on that for me, I totally agree with your burning speeds. (I back my PS2 up at 2x but that media is getting harder to get, so I have been forced to do at 4x with mixed results).
