Hi. I know this has been covered time & time again but it won't work for me. (I already read the guide from afterdawn).

I need to: re-encode a divX.avi file to VCD compatible mode for Nero to burn it...

BUT I'd like to include English subtitles. (I would prefer them to show up BELOW the movie as opposed to overlap it, and would prefer to be able to switch between having them show and not show...

BUT I'd settle for even just being able to have subs on the movie period.

I've installed ffdshow and direct VobSub & the subs/movie file have the same name and correct extensions and are in the same dir, but I still can't see subs either in Media Player 9 OR in the TMPGEnc preview mode).
direct show filter HAS top priority in TMPGEnc environment settings).

Pls let me know if you know how do add the subs to the movie file, I'd appreciate it. I'm deaf, and I NEED subs.
