I am fairly new at converting avi to dvd. I used winavi video converter and converted 2.61 gb worth of a few avi files and the end result was a dvd folder that was 13.2 gb. Is this normal? I am using 4.7 gb dvds. I also have dvd shrink and dvd decrypter. Please reply if you can help me understand or tell me what I need to do.

you could get smaller files if you dont batch encode them together

You can make some set in the advanced page when do the conversion.
For eg.select the speed perfence,or select medium or lower quality.
And you can try use "constant video size" to do the conversion.
