I have been transferring my old VHS holiday videos to DVD..The transfer is great. My problem is that once I have finished editing and burning, I cannot find where the files are. I have located 2 places already;1 as an "NVE Capture"; the other by searching for the file name I gave the transfer during editing. I thought by deleting these, my hard drive would be as empty as it was before the transfer. What I have really discovered is that my "C" drive is not back to what it was; after transferring 2 vhs tapes (of 2 hours each) that my "C" drive goes from 90% free to around 6% free. I have an additional drive (F) but it is not stored there either. Any help would be much appreciated. Thx.

I transfer from a JVC vcr through a Panasonic digital camera to Nero 6.6.0.18 edition...The video is stored in desktop/my docs/nerovision/captured video (saved as NVE CAPTURE).When using the "search" , I find the other file in c:doc's and settings as the name I saved it as when editing in Nero.I have done some further checking and found that I have 2 "Recycle bins"..Neither of which are on the desktop nor are they to be found by using the search function; however, if I right click on the desktop,go to properties, click on desktop tab, click on customize desktop, the next screen shows 2 recycle bins and one says full, the other says empty..This may be the root of my problem but now I don't know how to access these "hidden" recycle bins to empty them. This may be a result of my using Windows 2000 initially and then upgrading to Windows XP recently. In answer to your question, Nero has never asked me where to store the transferred video; it always places it as described above.

Dont worry about that, the reason you see 2 recylse bins is because it is showing how it will look when it is full and when it is empty.

The fact that no recycling bin shows up, is a porblem, so try this to restore it.

Go to Start < Run < Type regedit
Find [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\

Click Edit < New < Key Then paste {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} and hit enter. Restart.
