I have a PSP with 1.50 and I have the Metal Gear Acid 2 umd. Is there a way to play it without upgrading the firmware since I hear it's not possible to downgrade above 2.0 . Metal Gear Acid 2 needs 2.6 .

yep downlaod devhook and u r good to go. I also got it going on dax without any modification. heres a link to devhook:

Hmmm.. I'm not able to get this iso to run with DevHook. Not really sure why, I ran the ppf patch on the iso and then when I load it up in DevHook it just doesn't read the iso thats in the iso folder. Its confusing as hell, dont know what I'm doing wrong! I have the EUR version and its 895mb.

So devhook will fool the psp thinking that it's a 2.6 and the UMD will play fine? So this will also work with Prince of Persia UMD?


I haven't played it untouched since I have yet to open the package for the game. Also, I fear not playing the homebrews (the Looney Tune Martian hockey game is so addicting!).

There is a new version that is deicated to making original UMDs playable, but the versions talked about in the threads focus mainly on playing iso's. Like Thirst said, it emulates 2.5 firmware, making it possible to play iso's that never were compataible with 1.5 loaders b4.
