i can`t get macromedia flash player to download onto my pc. i`ve tried the oficial site to get it but it just won`t download. as a result i can`t veiw certain, web site functions.any body ever had the same problem? can anyone help?. someone mentioned that i may have to delete a file called Normaldot. can anybody point me in the right direction please?

Go to tools, internet options and click on the advanced tab on the top right. Click restore defaults.
Now click on tools and expand the pop up blocker across and turn it off for the time being. go to the below website and click on the Download Now button. I am hoping you will get a window pop up for activex installation.

thanks ozy i apreciate your imput. unfortunatly this doesn`t fix the problem. please keep the sugestions coming.thanks.
p.s my brother deleted some of his files using tuneup utilities 2006, he says that he only deleted files he knew were his, but could he have deleted the flash one? i`ve tried looking for it with the recovery program but don`t really know what i`m looking for

oh yes i used to have to click on a gold bar at the top of a page to install flash but that doesn`t apear anymore.hmmm

doesn`t this do the same thing as tuneup utilities?. i frequently repair errors and defrag,using this program. my pc never crashes and runs at a very respectable speed. i`ve never used Crap Cleaner but i would recomend tuneup utillities 2006.

ozy you are a star. thanks alot for taking the time to help, the stanalone installer did the trick. muchos gracias. How did you come across this or am i overlooking something quite simple (wich noing me is the more likley). I also took your avice and obtained ccleaner. very good tool. thanks again and all the best.

yes etter, it`s always best to read the all the posts in a thread , just so that you don`t miss anything. the funny thing is ozy`s link must be on the screen at the same time as yours as it`s only 2 posts up lol. but thanks for the help anyway.
