I got a couple 100 pack DVD-R 8X of value disks for $15 a pack. These are the ones I usualy use and I burn full speed using Alchohol and rarely get problems (though Ive had a couple that dont work right in the pack). I also got a couple 15 packs of value disk +RWs for free after rebate. These ones are complete crap. They rarely work and almost never format correctly. What do you think of value disk?

You're really opening yourself up on this one. Expect to get some pretty sharp replys if people read this.
Having said that, a lot of people (myself included) swear by TY's, Verbs, and Sony. I've never used Value Disk. I'm glad they're working for you right now, however you need to be aware of bad die and processes. They may work now, but could stop working in a week, month, year, who knows? The die can flake off, then you have a cheap Coaster. What do they code-up as? This will help people to know more about the discs. :)

If you mean Value line - LIke Taiyo Yudens Value line disc that are Shrink wrapped instead of cake-boxed I would say fine ! if they are another brand or someone else's off /generic brand !vwsport80 told you rightly you maybe in for a rocky future media wise? Please post the media code. That's the only way we can give you information about the discs.
Going just by the name, I wouldn't let them near my burners.

where does it say the media code? The ones im talking about are blue and only say value disk on them for the -rs and they're pink and dont say anything on them for the RWs. I think they're CMC.
