Can I leave lights on when case is closed?

I have just enabled the Ringlights on my V557 and I plan to install a clear case soon. As for now, when the case is closed and I recieve an incoming call, all that I see is the plain blue flash from the outer LCD. That is unless I have the phone open, and then I see the full effects.

My question is, can I disable the function that shuts off the lights on both the keypad and main screen when the case is shut? Or, can I enable those same lights to go off when I recieve a call/message with the case closed?
