Hi guys...
a little help needed. i have a psp 1.50 can play all the older ISO's fine but having trouble with the newer ones like street fighter!
Can anyone spare the time to give me a clear step by step guide to getting it working? would be much appreciated

will this work with other new games? does it have to be an ISO file?
you guys r really helpful but im not to good with technology... the link u showed me b4 didnt work!!! feel so dumb for askin... but can you explain where everyfing goes or direct me to somewhere where i can find out?

The link works, just checked it out, just look for the devhook rar, its there. This loader is designed for all new games that require 2.5+ firmware. Yes, it has to be an iso. When you dl the rar, put the dh folder in the root of your mem stick (the first screen after connecting your psp to your comp), and then put the DEVHOOK/DEVHOOK% folers in the GAME folder, which can be found be double clicking the PSP folder. Just gdrag and drop them into the GAME folder. The last folder in the rar is the ISO, and likes its name, its where you put your iso's. Put this folder in the root also if you dont already have an ISO folder there. SFA will boot with the default devhook settings.

a little misunderstanding, The link is working, but its when i downloaded street fighter that i have problems, i had 3 folders:
where do they go??
1.PSP - GAME - DEVHOOK ETC.
2.X - PRX & RCO. FILES
- (FLASH 1)
3.SFALPHA3 - SYSDIR
- USRIDR
- ICON, PARAM AND THE PIC
its these files im having problems with, dont have a clue where they go... Sorry to bother, I will pick it up soon!
do i somehow have to change it all to an ISO??

The version you have is not in iso form and was patched solely for UMD Emu Run UMD edition, and also lacks the ability to save game progress. To get it working on devhook, it requires an eboot.bin from another game as well as other files to work properly. I had that version also, and after a couple of hours trying to patch it, i just quit, it much easier to find an unotuched iso then deal with that. Find an untouched iso and you will have no problems.
Dont be sorry, your learning, and there is nothing wrong with that:)

i used the devhook link u sent me. now it has changed my system version to 2.5 chnaged the background pic and also the nickname to chaos zero.
what is this?? why has it happened?

Because its emulating 2. firmware, tricking your psp into thinking its really a 2.5 and allowing you to play new games, you can also use the web browser now. Dont worry about it, once you turn off your psp it resets, its just emulation. Just dont go crazy and start hiting the update icons, or then you will have a problem. Chaos Zero is the person who put this particualr package together, again dont trip over it, your psp is fine.
Note - If you boot a game correctly, you will never see the 2.5 browser, the game will automatically load. Keep that in mind for the future. You should never be on the 2.5 XMB unless you either A)exit a game that you booted with devhook or B)Didnt load the game correctly.

still having problems... so yeh, maybe you can help... i am using devhook 0.41d launcher how do i boot the game?
i have james bond from russia with love.
its in the iso folder... but cant seem to get it to run!
every time i try it just starts whatever UMD i have in the psp!
very grateful for any replys, thanks guys.

okie i juz downloaded Street_Fighter_Alpha_3_MAX_USA_PSP-ARTiSAN its about 235 mb ISO ...
some questions ....
if i load DevHook 0.41d ISO Standard Version by Chaos Zero will it affect my psp ... ?
will i be able to go online as u guys said with the 2.XX version .. ?
and where do i set all the folders in .. ?

ey louie just use this settin in your devhook 41.. ami munt--iso anymund
umd version = 2.xx - 2.00
fireware--- 2.5 + 2.00
cpu clock = 333mhz / 166 mhz
boot select = reboot xmb
after that your game \s will bout by itself if not try reformatting your mem stick then install the game with this setting for your dev hook.. to return to 1.5 firmware just reboot ur psp as thirst said ok?

which street fighter do you have?if is sfalpha max 3 you can just load it on dax zizo 0.62 without any fix on the iso....

legend, only devhook can play SFA correclty, with save. You were right about the iso being untouched though;)

ok this is my problem i have devhook the latest one and i also have daxiso the latest one when i try to boot my Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max.cso in devhook it just brings me back to my screen and tells me the game can not be started but the sfam3 icon is in the umd any help would be appreciated thanks
