PC wont't recognize SD-R5002 as DVD-R

Hey there....I recently installed my new Toshiba SD-R5002 and am having trouble getting my system (p4 1.7 W2K) to recognize the drive as a DVD-R. It reads DVDs fine, I made an .ISO with DVD Decrypter no problem. But when I try to burn, the "burn" icon won't click. I have had similar problems in DVDX Copy and Ahead Nero in which the burn button is grayed out or won't click.
I upgraded my DVD-R's firmware but it did no good. Any idea what's wrong?

I had a problem like that so what I did was preformat or initialize the disc with Instant cd/dvd software tha came with my A05.

Also make sure that your total files don't go over 4.3 gigabytes.
