OK... from the very little information you've provided, I assume you have a PS2 with a HDD installed and you want to transfer some "stuff" onto your PS2 (programs, games, music, video...???)
If you don't have a router, get a crossover cable and connect the PS2 and PC together directly, you then need to configure your IP address on both ends, and you'll need HDL Dump not Winhiip. Winhiip only works when the HDD is connected to the PC (via IDE or USB enclosure)
yeah i have a 120 hdd and hd advance 3.0 and a ide to usb cable.
my friend let me borrow his ar max i dont know if that will help
yep thats what i want to put on there. i have been trying all the computer stores and they dont know what that is. would i be able to use the one i have for my xbox.
THESE ARE ALL THE STUFF I HAVE
HDADVANCE 3.0
a friend action replay max
4 MEMORY CARDS
IDE TO USB FOR HDD
AND A 120 HDD
NETWORK ADAPTER
WINHIIP
WIN-RAR
So you are trying to install AR max to HDD? Quickest way is to install the HDD to your PC using the USB enclosure, then run Winhiip and install the disc. Now I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve out of that though...?
You're gonna need ExecFTPS to set up the FTP server on your PS2 and a crossover cable. Set up the IP on your PC to 192.168.0.1, Subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and your PC and PS2 should communicate. The config.dat file for ExecFTP should already be set to 192.168.0.10, so that's the address you should connect to in your FTP client on your PC. If your PS2's IP is different, you should be able to see it on your TV set since it shows you the IP the PS2 is using at the moment.
After that you need to mount the partition you want to browse or put stuff into using the following command in your FTP client (Ctrl + R if you use FLashFXP
SITE MNT /pfs/0/ hdd:+MYFS
where +MYFS stands for the partition you want to mount EXACTLY AS IT APPEARS IN HDD/0. Then to access the partition after it's mounted, you'd have to access pfs/0 instead of hdd/0 as that's where the partitions are listed and not accesible.
IF you have a cable that lets you FTP to your Xbox, then that IS indeed a crossover cable! You can use that one for your PS2 too. :)
