Man that sux, i just got a network adaptor and used Hdadvance the MC version to install 1 game 'original'. But when i found out i couldn't install a backup, bloody hell i was mad cause i tried swapping with slidetool for one of my backups! GRRR and that won't work, when the disc stopped. Just wonder what da hell is up wiv these two apps what do they do? check for the SCE codes or somethin like what's on an original, the code that cannot be burned to a blank.
Plz tell me there is some hacked version of either HDL or HDA that will allow installing backups. Also is there like a method of fooling hdloader to think its an orig, probly not but was hoping there is arghh.

I know installing them from a pc would be much better, but, i dont have any ways of doing that yet until i can get an external IDE-Usb case.

Cheers

1) HD advance will let you load a back-up but you must use a slide tool to swap out the disc before you press X to convert the game (the same as used for swap magic). You can make your own slide tool out of an old credit card or similar. you just need a drwaing of it from the web somewhere. (HD loader should do the same)

2) adding games via your Pc is easy. Just buy a USB to IDE adaptor cable instaed of a USB HDD enclosure and use software such as winhiip to recognise the PS2 HDD.
(You can also stick the HDD into a spare IDE cable inside your machine but thats messy and potentially dangerous to your machine)
