Is it possible to put all the necessary programs in order to play the games onto it and how? Sorry, I've been searching for awhile now and couldn't find an exact answer. Thanks! (yeah go ahead and call me a nooblet -_-)

Not unless you have a way to boot homebrew programs (e.g. a modchip or HDAdvance)

if you want your ps2 to play on hd you need to buy a hd cord for ps2 you can get at best buy or some gaming place and hooke that up to your ps2 and tv if tv is compatable with hd. if it is then it should work

depends on what model PS2 you have.
If it is the older chunky style you need HD Loader, an internal hard drive, and the network adapter. A program called Winhipp you can download can format it and install games if HD Loader will not.

The slimline takes a bit more work and money.
You can't use an internal hard drive unless you really want to mod the system, so an External with USB Extreme would work. But this will only save the laser and will not speed up load times like an internal hard drive will.

Or the best way is to get a DMS4 Pro modchip, have the PSTwo put in an HD Combo case with an internal hard drive. But this is costly.
But that is the way i chose to go.

Sorry for bumping a really old thread, but after buying HD Loader, how would I connect my HDD to the computer in order to use WinHipp? Is the official PS2 HDD like any other PC hard drive?

Okay, I connected my PS2 HDD to my computer, I've used WinHIIP to format drive, do I just add the images to the hard drive, insert it back to my PS2 and play them right off or do I still need HDLoader discs?

You still need HDLoader/HDAdvance to load them. Do you have any way to boot backups? if you don't then get swap magic and download HDLoader, if you have a modchip/swap magic then just download HDLoader
