Hi, I just bought Swap Magic CODER with the slide card and I am trying to boot a NTSC copy of Kingdom Hearts 2 and Hitman: Blood Money. When I boot the Swap Magic DVD, it goes to the Boot Disc menu with the following choices: Normal, Special, SMBoot, Cheat Menu. I tried Normal and then swapped the DVD's and selected Default or NTSC and it says "Booting" but goes back to the PS2 browsing screen with the memory card and PS2 disc. I have tried both games multiple times with Normal and Special, but it always goes back to the browsing screen. I think its because I am using PLAYO DVD-R (burned at 2X) but shouldn't it work atleast once?

Please help!

I had something like this with going back to the browsing screen once with my swap magic 3.6...i think i did the swap wrong or pressed the in/outsert tray thing...

try again make sure you do everything properly?

it shouldnt go back to the ps2 screen even if the discs dont work...

I may be doing the swapping wrong...You put in the slide card, slide it to the right so the tray pops out and you can pull it out...swap...then push the tray back, use the slide card to grap the "hook" which I have to turn the slide card a bit to do and pull it to the left and the tray goes back in completely. I think its right though because when i press the eject button once, the tray comes out and doesnt stay in. What should happen if the quality of the discs is not good enough for the PS2? Should it show something else?

Everytime I try the screen says "Booting disc" and then goes blank and then goes back to the place where you see the memory card and the disc inserted

That is strange!...

well it sounds like you getting the slide correct, so probs not that...erm...try doing a special boot instead?

for my swap magic 3.6 the screen just goes black if the backup has failed

in other notes my *100th post* w00t!

I'll try another media, hopefully that will solve the problem.

Is it possible that the Swap Magic set is bad?

Thank you all for all your help. I got the games working by burning the games onto a Play DVD+R instead of the Playo DVD-R. Now they all work well. I am still going to buy better quality discs but these are good for now

Thanks again.
