I don't know. Maybe you should ask the person who made the mod. Since you said .xbe I am assuming you are talking about Xbox 360. If so what does this mod do?

@FuZ3

.xbe indicates original Xbox, not 360.

This mod is all over the place, haven't touched it personally, but it's very popular.

@FuZ3 -With how many different file extensions seem to be flying all over the place between the PSP, XBox, and 360 scenes; it's really easy to get them confused. No worries.

@XxIVxX -Um, that's not a mod. That's a save where someone changed the character's athleticism traits to be very high, and with effort, it can actually be gotten that high normally. So, really, it's barely even a hack. What the poster was looking at was an actual *mod* that can be burned or stored on the hard drive, to give the game new extra content which fundamentally adds new gameplay to the game, rather than just changing an aspect of the game, or one's character. *HOWEVER* since you are a newbie here, I do want to suggest that you DEFINITELY softmod your XBox with the Action Replay you used to get the save, if you haven't already. The extra uses that can be obtained are completely worth it, if you haven't already done it. And hey, welcome to AD forums, hopefully you'll stick around to get a lot of good info!

Generally speaking, there doesn't seem to be a popular knowledge of the 360 file extension as of yet. What I *DO* know is that they are all over the size of a single layer DVD disc, and the image size would require a VERY large file form factor, possibly the split iso method used by some .iso loaders like PowerISO, which loads the first segment, then the second one. It takes all that data and combines it, sort of filling in the gaps, to create a simulation that contains all necessary data. It's really advanced stuff that is being really based down to a point where the average user can manipulate and utilize them. The process, for me, is fascinating.

Moreover, I'm waiting for a more practical method of softmodding to hit the system, so I can justify the purchase of a second one for modding, and possibly use as a secondary pc. And given the hardware, it'd be really nice as a secondary pc.
