I've created a DVD on my computer as a standard file format (not .iso) using DVD lab, there were no errors when encoding took place, however upon burning the DVD I receive CRC errors in Nero, DVD Shrink, nero's recode and a bunch of other software doing basically the same thing.

My question is; is there a way to burn the files whilst ignoring read errors, if so what software is most suitable for such a task. I'm aware DVD Decrypter is able to ignore read errors however it is only able to deal with iso's and is now an illegal piece of saftware thus rendering it useless. I dont have the original source files (the mpg's DVD lab encoded) just the outputted, waiting to be burnt set of video_ts files.

Oh, one final thing, I want to do this as cheap as possible, after spending loads of cash on DVD lab and getting a failed result I'm not too happy about spending another small fortune on error recovery software which wont work.

Incidently the files play fine without any read errors, tried using VNC, powerDVD, mediaplayer... you get the idea.

Thanks :-)

Free and easy. Grab a program called VOB Blanker. Someone here made an amazing guide, but I can't locate it. So, instead, go here:

[url=http://www.k-probe.com/backup-newly-release-movie-DVD-DVDFAB-Decr...

and skip to STEP 2. (At the top of the page under tools, there's a link for downloading vob blanker. no idea if it is up to date or not... the link, not the program.)

EDIT: MY link isn't working for some reason. Perhaps I'm in some kind of user violation. Sorry if I am. Just trying to help out. Click the link and delete the last 10 or so characters after .php and you'll be all set.

Don't know what this is all about, DVD Decrypter may no longer be updated, but it still works well. I have not found it to be useless nor have others.

DVD blanker SEEMED to work fine on my PC and a selected few of my DVD players but on others I just got a read error and an awful sound. I suspect the video WAS messed up in the first place. Anyway, I've had enough of th is project, the source was crap anyway - GiGo and I really did get the Go bit ;)

Thanks a lot for your help though, the tool seemed really useful and I'll use it again sometime
