Hi, I have searched the forum and i cannot find anything relavent so here goes...

I'm currently running windows XP and just recently as i have tried to use Adobe Premier or open .AVI files i get a message box appear saying "Error obtaining class factory for encoder object!" i have no idea what this means, and it is really starting to annoy me, as it appears every time i want to use clips in premier. Does anyone know what may have caused this and a way to get around it?
