Using Cyberlink's Power DVD ver 3.0 and a Samsung 5x-32x DVD-ROM Player, whenever I attempt to read a commercial DVD, I get: Error Code 89030000
Unknown File Format.

Has this happened to anyone else & does anyone have a fool proof resolution?

HELP PLEASE!

I have a Pioneer DVD-Rom and I don't have any problems, though I no longer use Power DVD but Win DVD which I find is more reliable. You can check in 'My Computer' the state of the drive by right clicking under properties. If all seems well try another DVD player software instead of Power DVD. That will tell you whether it's the Samsung (which I doubt very much). You can atleast try other software for free from www.downlaod.com

Just another thought - have you checked the region code of the disc and the region code settings in Power DVD?
