Hey i just found out you can play games from your HDD and i wanted to try this out since i have a HDD just sitting here and my PS2 barely reads DVDs now.

I've been checking this compatibility list here list.ps2hd.com and it seems that the HDL Pached is the best one. Where can i get it? I saw a site that had many HDLoader Versions but i dont know what version does the "HDL Patched" refeers to.

And if i understood this correctly i can record the HDL Patched into a CD and boot the CD and the CD boots the games from the HD right?

You should do a search on this as this has been asked so many times it's not funny... but here's what you need:
1) network adaptor (to attach the HDD to your PS2)
2) modchip/swap magic (to boot HDLoader)

Well i kinda know what i have to do, already bought the Network Adapter as well.

What i wasn't sure is what version did the HDloader Patched refeered too.

I did search but it was kind hard to find that info as well.

have a look in the forum in http://www.ps2hd.com/ those guys over there are more involved in the HDD stuff than people here, I think I saw something about HDLoader 0.8b yesterday, but can't find it now... either way go with 0.8a and you'll be fine
