How do I get online by using crossover?

When I connect to an online game using my laptop and a crossover cable while sharing the internet to the ps2 it always says that port 3658 is not open, it says that in both S.L.A.I. and Burnout Revenge. I opened up all the ports on my router, it still says it and won't connect to other players, only to the servers. How do I get around this?

you could try setting up the connection for network sharing.
not really sure though, i only have played Xbox online.
But you should not be using both at the same time anyway, it will cause lag time in your games.

I'm only using one game at a time, lol. I did the internet connection sharing but I still can't connect. I can't do a bridge because my laptop's wireless card freaks out when it is put in a bridge. Is there a way to do it in linux? Or maybe is there another way to connect ps2 to the internet besides the ICS and Bridging?
