I am trying to get my recent holiday video off my new video camera and onto my computer but the editing software that came with the camera won't let me start as the USB port on my computer is only USB 1.1 and apparently I need USB 2.0. Is there any way to update my USB drive to 2.0 simply?

Simply? No. You'll have to buy a USB 2.0 port for your PC.
