I have an xbox with xecuter 3 chip & 160gb harddrive

I have halo 2 saved to the HDD and have no need for it to play on live, just mess around on it...

what is the easiest and fastest way to get modded maps, i have searched and read other threads but it just hasn't been working

thanks

i tried the last thing on this page (4 different maps) http://halo2modz.tripod.com/id1.html

the main menu thing changed, the multiplayer map list has all the "additional" maps but when I try to play one of the "altered" maps it plays a tiny bit of the halo music then brings me back to pregame lobby... the origionals play fine

I tried the "fantastic" program figureing maybe it wasn't authorized to play the new maps but that didn't help

I set everything back to normal, and have been messing around with DOTHALO, and it works good... the only problem I am haveing is on maps that aren't at /F/games/halo2/maps (the downloaded maps) when I try to mod them it says "You failed to load the map" I do these maps the same as the origional maps, but I can't get them to work (I put theme back where I found them, E/tdata/....../...../...

any suggestions

thanks

hi, I have one more issue in addition to the one above this (still need help on that as well)

but on the maps I can mod, and are working I made a pistol bullet have a lot of force (thinking i could shoot people away from me) however it only works for me, when the other person is dead but it works for theme when all the time (and I am on the modded box)

thanks

ok, go into dothalo with mainmenu.map the go to [matg] globals. then click on the Multiplayer Maps drop down box in the tag editor (The first empty space is #12...)and select an empty space. fill the "value" space with a number that hasn't been use before. fill out the blanks and for "Scenario Name" put scenarios\multi\(name of map)\(name of map)
...replace "(name of map)" with the name of the map from the map pack. so call it triplicate, instead of terminal if it was called triplicate in the map pack...
Then, put the same number you put in "value" for "next value". Finally, save your changes, fix encryption, then FTP the map(s) and mainmenu.map
