many sites seem 2 have posted news about kernel on 2.60. they say it will make it just as compatible as a 1.50. but they said at the moment no downgrader will come of this. but surely if it is FULL 1.50 compatibilty then why would u want 2 downgrade. does kernel mode mean u can load isos? because thats the only thing im guessing it shoudnt be able 2 do but it says it is as compatible as 1.50

It says it'll be like 1.5, but it never will. I'll never upgrade my PSP.

No kernel mode just means you can write to flash, I think. But they still might not be able to make a downgrader for it because of the IPL protection in 2.5+.

A downgrader will never be possible for 2.5 and above.

An ISO loader will never be made for 2.5/2.6. There's only one coder who could do that and he "left" the scene. For now.

You will still always have to load GTA to use your homebrew. At least once you will.

Nothing has been discovered in 2.5/2.6 that allows homebrew to callback which is exclusive to 1.5. Therefore 2.5+ will never get all of the homebrew. Hence, it will never get the shells and similar programs.

Homebrew on 1.5 will always get better. The PSP was only released a year ago. It's at an all-time high right now. Just wait for the next 6 months. It'll be off the chain.

Edit: Kernal mode does not just write to the flash. Just for future reference.

Hell yea, Humma Kavula, he's so much better than Booster and Fanjita. Damn "if he was still around". I knew he always came back under an alias. Screwing Sony over was too much fun for him and he had to come back for a second dose. I honestly don't know his alias, but I'd sure as hell would love to. I also sure as hell wouldn't doubt that MPH and Humma Kavula = The Same Guy.
