memory issue for a beginner

Inexperienced computer users, such as I, are worried that backing up their video library could eat up all the memory. Not free space, but issues deep in the computer. If I keep re-writing to the same folders, does this eliminate the issue. I have been holding off with backing up the little one's disney collection. Does shrink or Nero throw hidden files elsewhere?

Well, Shrink does not throw hidden files anywhere that I am aware of. If it does it will be in your windows temp folder. I empty mine once every week or two. Now Nero on the other hand does use a temp folder when burning. The files that were burned are automatically deleted on the next burn.

I am curious as to why you mentioned memory. Are you referring to HD space? The best course of action to take is to remove items from temp folders. Nero has a temp folder and so does windows. You also have a cookies folder, and a temporary Internet folder.

The cookies and temporary Internet folders may be deleted from your browser. This is a good thing to do from time to time because without doing it you will begin to loose speed on the Internet.
