I have been burning dvds for a while now and I was wondering why the dvds say that they can fit 4.7 gb worth of data on it, but when I burn it using Nero it can only fit up to 4,483 mbs worth of data. I'm just curious. Is this the same reason as with harddrives?

Infact all DVD+ or - R can only hold 4700000bytes which is infact 4.38Gb. Just remember 4.38 & not 4.7 (if you're getting an extra 100000bytes count yourself lucky!)
