Hi guys,

a bit of help please Crying or Very sad

I have a modded (matrix infinity)slimline ps2 with the latest firmware upgrade.

I would like to play my psx import games on it. It used to work in the past on the same configuration. When I start it up now there's no problem: I can select a game, codes and choose to start with codes, however when its supposed to boot the game it wont start. without the gameshark the games start up perfectly. I'v retried with different gameshark versions including lite but all with the same effect. I also tried with deleting the gameshark files from the memory card, but nothing works.

please help me out

matrix infinity shouldn't have any problems with gameshark and backups... maybe it was something that occured after you upgraded your firmware? have you tried downgrading it and see if that works (since it used to work)

that was my first thought too, however I have no idea how to downgrade the firmware. Is there a tutorial for it?

can you go through the steps you went through to upgrade the firmware? I've never tried this before so I can't tell you if it'll work though

yep I did it.

I downloaded lower firmware from the matrix site however thid didnt work. I found it out in some way in the matrix chip menu the option psx multidisc was off. Pretty strange since I even never was in that menu before
