softmod trouble

The first time I tried to softmod my xbox using mech assult I screwed it up, so i restored the back up c and reset my IP and it let me back online again. When i tried to softmod it again yesterday, when i went to campaign mode and hit run linux it said i cannot run linux...but i know i have the right version of mech assult because the first time i tried modding it sent me to the screen where you instal the softmod.

so does anyone know what the problem might be?
and can anyone send me a link to try and re-download the mech assult linux save?
