If only I knew, i thought the firmware would be unhackable, and just kept getting firmware upgrade after another. How Long do u think until the 2.7 one would be made, or is all hope lost.

I'm thinking you should give up hope (if the mod chip is 2.7 compatible, that's your best bet) Unless Sony leaves the door open for the exploit to downgrade wide open in a subsequent FW update, I doubt anyone is going to bother. Sorry.

I nearly upgraded to 2.71 when it first came out, the only thing that stopped me was the thought of a possible downgrader for 2.60 and the fact i could run full res AVC movies on it. Now i can...;)

people said there will never be a 2.6 downgrader. Now there is. Just wait till August or end of summer. Then there might be a downgrader.
