I have used the dvd to divx recipe (actually, I use xdiv =) for some time now, and I was wondering, which are those expert methods to extract the audio with better quality than with the DVD2AVI / CDEx / LameMP3 combo?

Don't need a tut: the program names and a brief description of the operation to do should suffice.

Also, I would like to know if there is a good method to get the vobs directly into VirtualDub (after all, it can take care of audio, too), or some way to automate the process as much as possible.
