It's a nice idea, but knowing a bit about servers, i can tell you now that it would create quite a strain on the server(s), and could cause a number of problems.

That idea would not put a strain on the servers,i am sure drd can add that in a heart beat?if he wanted to.. (invisible) is the way to go..as it was from the beginning of the site.

You could also have the option of browsing the forums invisible or as a ghost when logging in as well.

ireland, to my knowledge it would create an extra strain on the server as it would need to keep record of who was online/offline.
And i'm thinking that takes space and uses CPU cycles... Or am i sorely mistaken here?
